Biggs and Lyons’ artwork showcase storytelling through their use of mixed mediums. They source old photographs implying that each photo and mark represents a moment in time. Their collaborative process is essential to help expand both artists’ ideas. Biggs and Lyons strive to create original art by using new or unique art-making techniques in their work.
Local artists Eric Lyons and Natalie Biggs are a mashup of professional colleagues and friends who focus on trust and collaboration when creating art together. With a willingness to keep an open mind, Eric and Natalie’s styles overlap helping aid their inspiration for their ideas. Their preferred art style is mixed media incorporating textures, grids, and pasted photographs, representing time as visual storytelling through photographs and mark-making. Their artistic process has been an opportunity to explore and expand on each individual’s ideas. Biggs and Lyons have showcased their work at Edmond Vibes, the main gallery of The Edmond Fine Arts Institute, Oklahoma Contemporary, and Round Midnight Bar. Both artists hold a Master’s in Art Education and love teaching art. They plan to continue working together on more projects in the future, with the next goal being to create a mural together.
